Green Technology

Protecting our shared environment is important to our customers and to us. If you are replacing or repairing your heating and cooling system, let us show you opportunities to use environmentally friendly products.

  • Refrigerant is changing. R-22 refrigerant is being phased out and will no longer be used in 2020 because it has been shown to deplete the ozone layer. We have long been using environmentally friendly R-410A refrigerant that does not contribute to ozone depletion.

  • Energy Efficient Equipment has a high SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) rating. The higher the rating, the more efficient the unit. New units are required to have a 13 SEER rating or higher. The high ratios use less energy and therefore cost less to operate.

  • Energy Star Rated Equipment costs less to operate and helps to conserve natural resources – all without sacrificing quality or performance.

  • Geothermal heating and cooling systems have almost zero negative impact on the environment. Pipes are buried in the ground and are used to circulate air from the ground where temperatures remain almost constant throughout the year.  We have been installing Geothermal heat pumps in homes for many decades. Customers have enjoyed the benefits of energy savings, equipment longevity, and conservation of resources while maintaining indoor air comfort.

  • Tankless Water Heaters: Why keep 40 or 50 gallons of water hot when you don’t need it? It’s expensive to continually heat and re-heat water when you’re not home or not using it. The Rheem tankless design, offers hot water on demand without the high energy cost. Water is only heated as used. Call today to learn how you can enjoy:

    1. Continuous Hot Water on Demand
    2. Compact Space Saving Design
    3. Energy Saving

  • Dual Fuel or "Hybrid" heat can save money and energy by heating your home with two fuels instead of one. Electricity is the main source and natural gas is the secondary source. We can add a fuel efficient heat pump to your present fossil fueled heating system. The heat pump will operate on all but the most extremely cold days.

Additionally, we recycle your old heating and air conditioning unit and components when we replace or repair your system. Nature recycles everything, so do we.
